Tech NewsBits – iOS 7 to Integrate Maps and Siri into Cars

April 30, 2013 By Editor

Some iOS goodies via TechnoBuffalo…

Do you trust Apple Maps yet? We hope so, because the company is apparently betting that new features in iOS 7 will allow it to seamlessly integrate, along with Siri, into your car. 9to5Mac said it learned from sources that Apple is in cahoots with car manufacturers to help both solutions easily work with in-car software systems. That means, instead of either putting your iPhone on the dashboard or relying on your car’s own navigation system, you can use both Siri and Apple Maps directly through your car’s console.

9to5Mac said it learned that drivers will be able to see a “video out or mirrored display representation of the iPhone’s Maps app on the bigger screens included with most modern vehicles.”
