Built on Esri ArcGIS® Server technology, iVision is a premier catastrophe risk assessment application for BMS insurance clients. It is user-friendly and combines powerful geospatial analytics in a simple and intuitive user interface to assist insurance carriers in the areas of portfolio management, agency management, catastrophe event claims response, and underwriting in one seamless and fully integrated application.
Through a Web-based mapping portal, iVision users can easily interact with their data sets. The analytical modules include severe convective storms, hurricane tracks, earthquake vulnerability, wildfires or other hazard data, as well as tools to assess total insured values, premium values, or losses. BMS clients can drill down to the county, zip code, and even pinpoint location level.
“When we worked with BMS to develop iVision, we knew the system needed to be intuitive and user-friendly to provide BMS clients with access to information they couldn’t view in any other form,” said Brian Smith, a director of GeoDecisions based in Newark, Del. “Through our partnership with BMS, we accomplished these goals and positively impacted the development of GIS in the commercial space.”
