IDV Solutions Announces Visual Command Center 3.0

Physical security and risk visualization (PSRV) software developer to enhance alerting and messaging capabilities; expand available risk data

Lansing, MI – August 14, 2013 IDV Solutions today announced the newest version of its award-winning physical security and risk visualization (PSRV) software, Visual Command Center 3.0. The upgrade, to be released in September, delivers new and enhanced capabilities that allow organizations to more easily identify risks to their operations and better protect their employees and facilities.

Visual Command Center is PSRV software that enables organizations to identify, evaluate, and take action against threats to their assets, including buildings, people, events, and operations. It unites data from disparate sources—Web feeds, internal and external data, and security systems—into a consolidated real-time view that includes a map and timeline. It alerts organizations when their assets may be threatened by risk events, ranging from severe weather to disease outbreaks or acts of terrorism.

Among these new capabilities in version 3.0 are significant enhancements to the Visual Command Center inbound alerting system; enhancements to “tours” or cycling visualizations of global, regional, and metro views; expanded travel security and medical risk data, and connections to travel management solutions; new outbound messaging, notification, and reporting; and time-based enhancements.

“Visual Command Center introduced security operations centers to the concept of a complete operating picture – with all of their assets represented and all of the risks to their organizations, too,” said Ian Clemens, Chief Technology Officer, IDV Solutions. “Visual Command Center 3.0 brings refinements to operational workflows, additional capabilities for connecting to data sources, and a lot of behind-the-scenes enhancements that help security operations fulfill their mission of protecting their organizations’ people and assets.”
