Lift Yourself by Curci

September 24, 2024 By GISuser

Curci who’s known for his extravagant music videos is back again showing that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. Sampling Kanye’s famous “Scoop Diddy Whoop” song, multi-platinum producer MIKE SUMMERS creates the perfect landscape for Curci on “Lift Yourself. This video came together by Curci being randomly paired with filmmaker team Jet Black as part of the 53:14 music video experiment.

Each year, the 53:14 Music Video Experiment pairs 10 Colorado filmmakers with 10 Colorado musicians or bands and gives them a limited window (53 hours and 14 minutes) to conceive, shoot, edit, and deliver an original music video.

conscious minds
Curci (Ker see), born in Fort Collins, Colorado, is the epitome of the new era of Hip Hop artists. Heavily influenced by his environment growing up in Colorado, Curci has encompassed what “ the urban lifestyle” has evolved into over recent years. One of the few buzzing Hip Hop artists making noise in the music industry today, with his dope array of talent… Curci is here to stay.
Curci

From 2012 to 2014, Curci released 3 mixtapes ending with “Forever Summer,” a huge step that boosted his industry presence and propelled his Hip Hop career. After the first mixtape, Curci created his own ‘League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” called “Conscious Minds for Righteous Revolution” inviting talented artists who aligned with Curci’s conscious way of crafting music. His criteria: be a straight up, professionally focused and distinct artist whose individuality separates them from standard artists.

In late 2016, Curci’s first commercial project titled “Figuring It Out” was sold in stores across the US and UK. Produced exclusively by AC3Beats, the album has earned millions of streams through platforms such as Spotify, iTunes and Pandora. By the end of 2017, Curci started a year long wrap-up series titled “Robots and Rocketships.” The idea behind the project was to release all of the singles and collaborations that were not already on an album. The Robots and Rocketships series has continued every year since.
