How to Fix Payroll Error 15276 in QuickBooks

You can check these settings by visiting your Windows firewall settings. To fix the error, check and reconfigure firewall settings manually. Add the relevant Firewall port exception for QuickBooks and make sure the TCP option is selected. 

 

Solution 2-Check and enable Intuit QuickBooks FCS service

Disabled QuickBooks Desktop File Copy Service is also one of the reasons behind the QuickBooks payroll error 15276. You can check and enable this Intuit service on your system to get rid of the payroll error. To enable QuickBooks FCS service, follow the below given steps:

    • Open Run window on your system
    • In Run window, type COMPMGMT.MSC and then hit Enter key.
  • Under the Computer Management window, click ‘Services and Application’ and then click Services.

  • The Service window displays the list of services on your system.
  • Scroll down and find the service ‘Intuit QuickBooks FCS’. If it is not in a ‘running’ state, double-click on it.
  • The properties window of the selected service is displayed.
  • On the service’s properties window, under Startup type, click on the drop-down to select Manual.
  • Click Apply and then click OK.

 

Solution 3-Check Payroll’s Service Key

Sometimes, the QuickBooks application throws error 15276 if there is some issue with your payroll service key. It is a good practice to re-validate the payroll’s service key once to troubleshoot this error. If the issue has occurred due to any of these issues, you can download and install the latest version of QuickBooks Tool Hub to resolve it. It contains multiple QuickBooks repair tools to repair QBW files, QuickBooks installation files, and network issues. From the Tools hub, you can click Program Problems and then click Quick Fix my Program.

Next, try to fix the common installation issues in QuickBooks. For this, Run QuickBooks Install Diagnostic tool. If the error persists, then fix the consistencies or damage within the QuickBooks company file. To repair company files, run the QuickBooks File Doctor tool in the Tool Hub. Here are the steps you have to follow:

  • In Tool Hub, click Company File Issues.
  • Click the Run QuickBooks File Doctor option.
  • Click the dropdown button to choose the company file.
  • Click the option labeled Check your file and then click Continue.
  • The tool prompts you to enter the admin credentials. Enter the required credentials and click on Next.

Note: The QuickBooks File Doctor tool is not effective for resolving complex corruption-related issues. It also has file-size limitations.
