iOS 18: 

  1. Customization: Users can arrange apps and widgets anywhere on the Home Screen, even above the dock. Dark or tinted effects allow personalized app icons and widgets.
  2. Photos Redesign: The Photos app gets a major overhaul, with automatic organization and easily accessible collections.
  3. Mail Improvements: On-device intelligence categorizes emails, simplifying the inbox.
  4. Messages via Satellite: Powered by existing iPhone satellite capabilities, users can now communicate over satellite in the Messages app when Wi-Fi or cellular isn’t available.

Apple Intelligence is a personal intelligence system deeply integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. its ecosystem-wide push into generative AI.   1. Writing Tools: Apple Intelligence enhances writing and communication. Users can rewrite, proofread, and summarize text across various apps, including Mail, Notes, and Pages. Whether refining class notes or crafting emails, these tools boost confidence in writing.

Siri Update:

Siri received a significant update, becoming more deeply integrated into Apple’s operating systems. Users can now type queries directly into Siri to access its generative AI-based intelligence, acknowledging that voice isn’t always the best interface.

  1. Conversational Context: Siri now remembers previous conversation topics and incorporates them into responses.
  2. On-Screen Awareness: It can recognize and interact with on-screen elements, like adding an address to a contact card.
  3. Automatic Photo Enhancement: You can enhance photos using voice commands like “make this photo pop.”
  4. Personal Context: Siri leverages details from your messages and notes to provide more personalized assistance.
  5. ChatGPT Integration: If ChatGPT can answer better, Siri suggests switching to it.
