This is the first ever integration of a forest inventory solution with Field Maps!

Two of F4 Tech’s clients have already implemented the integration workflow, and several more plan to implement it immediately due to:
- Ease of geospatial data creation and the ability to work offline
- Readiness of SilvAssist mobile to handle new timber stand polygons
- Time-savings due to no longer needing to return to an office to set up a timber cruise -All offline and in the field
- Task specific, intuitive apps are simpler and easier to operate, and as such allow users to get their jobs done much more efficiently
Users can now define new timber stand polygons through ArcGIS Field Maps by either heads-up digitizing or automatic capture of spatial data by utilizing the streaming function to walk the perimeter. The new timber stand polygon(s) can then be sent directly to the SilvAssist Mobile App by simply tapping a button. From there, the stand can be imported into the desired project the user is working on. After the stand is imported, the user can then allocate plots in the new stand and start cruising – and most importantly this is done all in an off-line environment. Once the user returns to either Wi-Fi or cellular service, the project can be synced and the new timber stand polygon, plots, and inventory data collected are pushed to and managed in the Cloud.
