With the summer season arriving soon in India, it is time to seek respite from the scorching heat and plan a trip to some scenic hill stations. The mesmerising hill stations near Jalandhar are excellent escapes both during the humid summers and freezing winters. Jalandhar, situated in northern India, remains close to many of the famous hill stations in the country and even to the best offbeat hill stations. 

Furthermore, famous hill stations like Parwanoo, Nalagarh, and Palampur lie within 150 km and make for short weekend getaways.   • Nalagarh 

Far from the city’s hustle and bustle, Nalagarh is famous for its lush greenery, serenity, and a fantastic panorama of the Shivalik hills beyond the Sirsa river. If a relaxing respite is what you desire, Nalagarh is the perfect hill station near Jalandhar to go. Encompassed by the vistas of outer Himalayas on one side and Shivaliks on the other, Nalagarh remains dotted with the ruins of numerous forts around the canyon, including the forts of Surajpur, Chamba, Malaon, and Ramgarh.

  • Palampur

  • Dalhousie 

The quaint town of Dalhousie, nestled away in the lap of Himachal Pradesh, is a paradise for all the sightseers.   •  McleodGanj

Also, snuggled amidst magnificent hills and dense greenery, this town is culturally endowed by a famous Tibetan impact owing to the considerable settlement of Tibetan migrants here.

  • Dehradun
