What are the Types of Inverters and their features?

September 8, 2021 By GISuser

In India, the need of the inverters and batteries has been on the peak nowadays. Because of the often powercuts, the demand of the inverter battery for houses has been increasing continuously.

An off grid solar powered system is made up of solar panels, batteries, and inverter. Solar panels are used to charge the inverter battery for home, and the inverter performs the similar task of converting DC to AC. Alternatively, it can be equipped with a switch that automatically switches the linked home’s power source from grid to batteries if it detects that the grid is not producing power. It is possible to construct the system so that it totally relies on solar electricity. Solar electricity is used to charge the batteries while the sun is shining, and the grid is used when the sun isn’t shining.

What is the purpose of Inverters?

Transformers, switching and control circuitry convert Direct Current (or DC) to Alternating Current (AC) in a power inverter. Any inverter, whether it’s a solar or normal inverter, performs the same basic purpose. Inverters and UPSs convert the DC electricity from the batteries into AC power that may be used in appliances. An off-grid solar power system’s inverter does the same thing. “Grid Connected” solar power system uses DC power from solar panels and AC power from a power grid to produce electricity.

Types of Inverters

Sinewave and squarewave inverters are the two most common types of inverters:

  • Sine wave inverter output is the same as that of the grid we use on a daily basis. Because there is no electromagnetic pollution in the electrical grid, you can get the same or even better sine wave AC electricity than you could before.
  • Square wave AC power is produced by the square wave inverter, and its maximum value in the positive direction is roughly equal to its maximum value in the negative direction. At the same time, the load and the inverter would be adversely affected.

The storage of generated solar energy, monitored using a rogowski coil, is one of the last steps to be fully self-sufficient. This way you can completely cut all connections with your energy supplier. However, you do need a battery for that.

Inverter battery for home

An inverter battery is not new at all, but we don’t see them that much in practice. In fact, there are already quite a few users who themselves save the kWh of solar panels for later with a solar battery.

How does storing solar energy work?

Storing solar power at home can be done in several ways. The direct voltage of the solar panels is converted via an inverter to alternating voltage so that it can be used at home on the indoor installations. The energy can then be used for the kettle, microwave, washing machine, etc.

Best solar panel battery brand

There are now many brands that have developed a battery storage system for solar panels. The most famous brand is perhaps LoomSolar. However, there are a lot of lesser known brands with high quality storage systems. But, the LoomSolar brand is best in terms of the inverter battery system for home prices and the quality products which are highly durable as well. So, make your choice precisely and get the best services from LoomSolar.
