United Arabian Fairytale

September 16, 2021 By GISuser

Despite the fact that we have all become adults a long time ago, sometimes, like in childhood, we want to visit a fairy tale where it is always warm and sunny, where everyone is rich and lives happily ever after. This fabulous country exists not only in our fantasies, but also in reality: it is the United Arab Emirates. AX Capital, our Dubai real estate agency has gathered a lot of interesting information for you about Dubai.

Paris of Persian Gulf

Dubai is the capital of commerce, a cosmopolitan city with a freedom uncommon for the rest of the country, one might say Paris in the Middle East. In just twenty years, not just a city of sand has grown in the desert. Here everything is the most: the most expensive Arabian horses, the highest downhill water descent in the Wild Wadi water park of the Jumeirah Beach resort, the cheapest gold in the Dubai city market (by the way, also the largest in the world), the most stable currency course, unchanged for last fifteen years. The local currency is dirham. And in addition to this – there are luxurious gardens, parks, many intricate fountains. The buildings are magnificent: skyscrapers made of multi-colored tinted glass of all colors of the rainbow, with oriental ornaments, and the country villas of the Emiratis resemble palaces from the cartoon Aladdin. There is not a single similar building – it is the sheikh’s ban. Moreover, in accordance with his decrees, everything, without exception, is being built no more than 9 months: a delay of even 10 days is fraught with a license revocation for a construction company.

Beaches, palm trees, golden sand, scorching sun and caressing sea spray are not a city, but a tourist paradise. There are hotels for all tastes from two stars and above … There are also simply amazing! We are talking about the Burj Al Arab, or the Arab Tower, the most fantastic hotel in the world. It is made in the form of a huge – no, HUGE! – sailboat, 321 meters high, sailing to the shore. This colossal structure seems to hover over the water surface of the Persian Gulf and makes an indelible impression even from afar. It also has everything the same: both form and content. Built in 2000, this is the only one world’s seven-star hotel. There are six restaurants in the hotel: Al-Muntaha – at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level; Al-Mahara – underwater, where millionaires are taken by submarine; Al Ivan – among the golden columns; Bab Al Yam – an oasis restaurant; Juna – with a huge selection of Havana cigars; Sahn Eddar is a magnificent torchlit cafe.

Competition … camel beauty

Imagine what the Emiratis have come up with! They hold a national competition – camel beauty in the town of Bani Yas. About a thousand ships of the desert take part in it. Each owner can exhibit up to 10 camels, and the owner of the winning camels receives prizes – large amount of money and valuable gifts.

In the UAE, there are about 70 thousand camels, which are mainly bred for camel races, which take place in 14 special stadiums. This ancient Bedouin game attracts thousands of viewers and is broadcast on local television. The largest is the competition for the cup of Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates. Their prize fund is 10 million dirhams (about $ 270 thousand).
