Report from 9to5Google has it that Google are “internally testing” a second foldable Pixel smartphone. It was further reported that the smartphone is under development with the codename “Jumbojack,” which was referenced in an upcoming version of Android 12 which was then identified as “Android 12.1.”
This will be the latest foldable codename we’ve heard of at the major tech company after reports of the first foldable phone at Google was named “Passport,” which was acknowledged by real money casinos online.
However, not much has been revealed regarding Jumbojack or what form it could take, but there were several speculations and some key details from 9to5Google. The Jumbojack seems to have two screens – with one that automatically deactivates when the smartphone is folded.
This confirmed that we might be getting a device similar to Samsung’s foldable phones, which is known to combine its small external screen with the larger internal screen that is foldable. However, there was no mention of how big the screen of this Jumbojack is, or its internal specs.
Among the many speculations making rounds in the media is one talks about the “Jumbojack” codename which might as well be referenced to Jack in the Box’s Jumbo Jack cheeseburger, leading to speculation of the phone being able to fold in a hamburger style, just like the Z Flip as opposed to “hotdog style” like the Z Fold.
Not much could be said about that though, as it was only among the many speculations running around in the media. But, we’d very much like to know what the specs of this new Jumbojack foldable smartphone from Google will entail.
Passport is still on schedule to launch before this year runs out, according to leaker Evan Blass. There has been no news or indication of when or if Jumbojack will be getting a commercial release this year or the next one, and American online casino will just watch it unfold.
There’s also the possibility that “Jumbojack” is just an internal prototype meant to help build the functionality of foldable. The existence of Jumbojack, however, has revealed to everyone that Google is really keen on developing foldable than before as the company prepares to produce its flagship competitor with the Pixel 6.
In other news, Google is planning to add free channels to its smart TV platform as they were reported to have been in talks with free, ad-supported streaming television providers regarding the possibility of including their channels on its TV platform.
These channels share some similarities to our traditional TV, as its shows will always be interrupted with commercial breaks. The report further claims that Chromecast users will be able to access these live channels through a menu similar to YouTube TV.
