What is cloud based development and its Importance in IT Industry

June 9, 2021 By Editor

When we talk about cloud based development of software it has proved its magnanimous strength for more than two decades in the IT based industry. Nowadays businesses are consuming the output of the cloud supporting infrastructural system  that is dependent directly or indirectly for increasing the productivity, efficiency, security, profit margin etc. Whereas in the sphere of utilization of cloud based development and service in IT (information Technology) has revolutionized the respective industry exponentially.

What is Cloud based development ?

Cloud based development is the formation and deployment of cloud based or cloud solutions development applications i.e modified and enhanced apps than their previous versions. When we talk in terms of development of applications through traditional methods, even for a small application, we require a range of skills, time and data management . On the other side with the help of cloud based application development users can easily create web, mobile or pc based applications through simple steps also with custom software outsourcing .In simple terms cloud based solutions are practical and feasible than traditional application development in our modern IT world.

Now we will go on a iteration on the benefits of cloud based development

1. Economically beneficial i.e cost effective

For any company or business organisation, the input cost of producing the goods or services is very crucial as it plays a major role in increasing the profit percentage. Cloud based service reduces the cost of any entity from small one to large enterprises marginally. Once the client is switched to cloud based services the efficiency increases hugely. It is very easy to access a company’s huge data rapidly with faster management of data. Eventually it saves a lot of workforce energy and money for the company.

Cloud services basically run on a pay-you-go basis so clients have to pay for what extent of services they use. This simply boils down to the important info that one has to pay for the services and servers they use without paying to the whole infrastructure. Hence this plays an important role in keeping the organization cost low in maintaining data servers, hosting, management of data, etc

2. Security

Since statistics and information of data are one of the crucial assets of Information technology based  services as well as products. Therefore Security is one of the most important pillars of the IT industry as they secure a huge amount of critical data. Cloud based services take the data protection in their infrastructural setup very seriously. Due to a sequence of sophisticated encryption and safety layers around the information ,it ensures to keep it safe. The secure firewall protects any malware injections and data breaches from the servers . For any data breaches or loopholes in the system there are dedicated developers teams who rigorously monitor the data behaviour. Hence these security steps keep the data safe from being leaked or hacked online . In Fact the data saved over the cloud is more secure than the data stored in physical hard drives.

3. Multiple deployment models

Especially for the IT industry there are various kinds of requirements needed by the companies . For example a small startup has significantly different needs than a large enterprise based IT company. So to keep in mind for fulfilling the different requirement in demand cloud based services offers a range of deployment models for the clients. For example there are different types of deployment models such as private cloud , public cloud, hybrid cloud and multi cloud. There are also different service categories present such as “Saas (software as service), Paas(platform as service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as service)” .

4. High Adaptability

Traditional IT companies were used to store data into their own servers and harddrives of their own company. The amount and size of the data used in the organization is directly proportional to the size of the data itself, the bigger the size the bigger the storage facility required. This kind of storage facilities are not feasible for the companies and takes a huge toll on the size of investment needed. While dealing with such mammoth size of data make the system crash incessantly. Whereas contemporary Information technology companies use cloud servers and solutions, as the data is not stored locally and managed by a team of experts regularly . so the infrastructure works powerfully and efficiently with minimum hiccups or glitches having lowest downtime. With the increase in demand cloud based solutions automatically upgrade themselves without suffering any harm in terms of performance  Later the company pays according to the upgrade done.

 Conclusion

All in all we can summarize that the IT based industry cannot survive without cloud solutions in this digitally changing world . Cloud based development highly increases efficiency, business growth, pushes innovation and reduces cost . Cloud based solutions propel Information technology companies with sustainable growth.
