8 Ways on How to Drive Traffic to your E-Commerce Website using SEO

To make your website visible on the search engines, you must understand how to use SEO strategies. Below are a few strategies to use:

Create a Secure and Easy to Understand Online Store

Always use HTTPS instead of HTTP. It makes all personal data encrypted and protected. It will make your customers trust your site more if they see that their information is protected. Any E-Commerce needs to succeed, so ensure that your website structure is simple and easy to be understood by even a person who is not tech-savvy. By searching sites like Amazon, it is easy to see the keywords that most people have used to search for a particular product. When searching for a glass water bottle, if the Keyword generated is heat resistant, then that’s how you will describe your bottle as “Heat Resistant Water Bottle.” Using your competitor’s website or page, find out those keywords that rank more than others. It is done by typing in your Keyword in Google, choose your competitor, then scan for the products, and you will get potential keywords. It is essential to remember never to use the same Keyword as your competitor, as these may lead Google to show your competitor’s website or page first.

Find out What the Competitors Are Using for Their SEO

Use the keywords to come up with an eye-catching title. The title should be simple and include the SEO selected. For example, “Heat resistant glass water bottles” have the keyword heat resistant. It is self-explanatory as the readers know that the website includes different heat resistant water bottles. Use H2 headings naturally as they help determine page relevance and maximize traffic.

Create a Unique Product Description

Avoid using the already used product description. Create unique content. Most search engines like Google penalizes plagiarised content. Use a unique product description with relevant keywords and brand names. Add the E-Commerce brand name to all your marketing videos and emails. It is crucial as it will drive traffic to your website.

Include Product Reviews

Product reviews are the information that most potential buyers will check before deciding whether they will buy a specific product. It is done by adding a comment or review field on your page or website. Use apps like Magento, Shopify that add reviews to your page or website. Always ensure that you provide a valuable description of your product that will leave all the customer’s questions answered. Lastly, Do a Google search on yourself. It will help you see where you rank. It will give you an overview of how your website ranks where the SEO word is searched.

Remember that maintaining a customer depends on your level of expertise, how you make them feel, or how you treat them. Your product’s quality will also determine whether this customer will be recurrent. As much as SEO strategies will drive traffic to your virtual store, how you run your business will determine whether your customer will recommend your business to someone else.
