The 220-1001 exam focuses on mobile devices, hardware, networking technology, network troubleshooting, Cloud computing, and virtualization. The CompTIA 220-1002 test covers one’s skills in installing and configuring various OS, software troubleshooting, operational procedures, and expanded security. For each exam, you have to answer a maximum of 90 questions and the time allocated for the completion of each test is 90 minutes. The passing score is 675 and 700 on a scale of 100-900 points for Core 1 and Core 2 respectively. Although there are no official prerequisites for the certification exams, it is recommended that the learners have between 9 and 12 months of hands-on experience in the field or in the lab. These CompTIA test are available in English, Japanese, German, Spanish, Thai, and Portuguese. Pearson VUE is their official provider, and they can be taken online or at one of the testing centers across the world. To register, the candidates have to pay the fee of $226 per exam. After obtaining the A+ badge, it remains valid for three years. It is recommended that you renew it before the validity period expires.
