NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS (USA) – Geography Awareness Week was held November 18 through November 22, 2019, by the Geography/GEOINT program at Fayetteville State University.
There were multiple activities over the week, the most important being the FSU Undergraduate Geospatial Poster Competition. This competition provided a unique opportunity for students to practice resolving real-world geographic problems with geospatial technologies. The Geospatial Poster Competition awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Student’s Choice Winner awards.
The Maptitude mapping software team is proud to have provided the donation for the poster competition prizes. The sponsorship helps FSU by supporting an event that will raise awareness of spatial thinking and enhance geography literacy, providing the geospatial skills that are increasingly in demand during the globalization and information era.
