NEWTON, MASSACHUSETTS (USA) – The Geography Awareness Week will be held November 13 through November 16, 2018, by the Geography/GEOINT program at Fayetteville State University.
There will be multiple activities over the week, the most important being the FSU Undergraduate Geospatial Poster Competition on 11/16. This competition will provide a unique opportunity for students to not only be involved in but also to practice resolving real-world geographic problems with geospatial technologies. There will be three monetary prizes for undergrad posters and three prizes for early college posters.
The Maptitude mapping software team is proud to be providing the donation for the poster competition prizes. The sponsorship helps FSU by supporting an event that will raise awareness of spatial thinking and enhance geography literacy, providing the geospatial skills that are increasingly in demand during the globalization and information era.
