LIVERMORE, Calif., U.S./ CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, the Netherlands – August 30, 2018 – Topcon Positioning Group announces the complete acquisition of ThunderBuild BV Group, expanding the portfolio of Topcon paving solutions. Based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, ThunderBuild develops software related to logistics management with a primary focus in the asphalt market, as well as additional applications that pertain to the transport of bulk materials.
“We are very excited to add the depth of knowledge that ThunderBuild has developed in SaaS (software as a service) applications that can be incorporated with Topcon hardware to develop new and more advanced systems for the paving market,” said Ewout Korpershoek, Topcon executive vice president for mergers and acquisitions. “The powerful ThunderBuild asphalt logistics software will be integrated with Topcon sensor data to provide end-to-end visibility into the paving process.”
