DigitalGlobe’s Satellite Images of Flooding in North Carolina

DigitalGlobe collected new satellite imagery recently over some of the hardest-hit flood areas associated with the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.

DigitalGlobe focused in on the area surrounding Wallace, North Carolina. For reference, Wallace is approximately 35 miles to the NNE of Wilmington and is close to the Northeast Cape Fear River. As you’ll see in the dramatic before/after images, the flooding is extensive and has affected homes, businesses, farmland, etc.
