In addition to its investment, Boundless is a pillar of the OSGeo community with staff  participating at all levels from committees work to leadership roles in the QGIS, GeoServer, GeoNode and GeoTools projects.

“Boundless goes beyond just reading/writing open standards as a way of being ‘open,’” said Anthony Calamito, vice president of products for Boundless. “Boundless contributes its source code to open source repositories, sponsors open geospatial software foundations, and employs core committers and steering committee members for many open source GIS software projects. This sponsorship further cements our support of the thriving community.”

The Open Source Geospatial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization fostering the global adoption of open source geospatial technology. The software foundation is devoted to an open philosophy and participatory community driven development. OSGeo serves as an outreach and advocacy organization providing financial, organizational and legal support for the open source geospatial community.

Boundless offers an open GIS ecosystem through a unique combination of technology, products and experts that gives enterprises deeper intelligence and insights using location-based data. The Boundless platform is built upon open source technology and open APIs that generate actionable location intelligence across third-party apps, content services and plugins for enterprise applications.
