Europa Technologies is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as an official Eircode Provider and can now supply a full range of Eircode data and services. This strategic relationship will extend Europa Technologies’ seamless addressing capabilities to the whole of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Eircode is Ireland’s postcode system, launched in July 2015. It enables people and businesses to find every address in Ireland. Prior to its launch, address cleansing, matching and geocoding in Ireland was particularly challenging. Unlike other countries where postcodes define a cluster or group of addresses, a unique Eircode is now assigned to each residential and business address. This makes identifying an individual delivery address significantly simpler.
As an official Eircode Provider, Europa Technologies is able to supply either of the two data Eircode products:
ECAF (Eircode Address File) is the base reference data containing all 2.2 million address points with their Eircode and USP Postal Address.
ECAD (Eircode Address Database) incorporating ECAF, contains additional data for each address such as alias address information, geo-coordinates and other data including but not limited to boundary data and building information.
In addition to these standard Eircode products, Europa Technologies also offers value-added services including visualisation of the data through the award-winning viaEuropa hosted map service and high-performance address search/geocoding using AddressCloud.
