New Industrial Supervision & Control Solution Combines Simplicity and Reliability

June 15, 2016 By Editor

Logan, UT –  Together, Juniper Systems’ new Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet™ and Progea’s Movicon 11™ software provide a powerful and effective industrial supervision and control solution, for use in applications such as industrial automation, remote control and building automation, and deployment and hardware.

Ideal for SCADA/HMI systems, the solution combines the ultra-ruggedness and reliability of the Mesa 2 with the simplicity and intuitiveness of Movicon 11, resulting in a robust solution that significantly improves productivity and efficiency in tough environments.

Just released this year, Juniper Systems’ Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet utilizes a full Windows 10 operating system to provide powerful functionality to users. The tablet features a sizeable 7-inch display with specialized IllumiView™ technology to enhance visibility, as well as all-day battery power for maximum use time. Designed for tough conditions, the Mesa 2 is built to withstand accidental drops and extreme temperatures, and also happens to be the only Windows tablet on the market rated IP68—meaning that it’s completely resistant to water and dust.

For the software component, with more than 100,000 applications deployed worldwide, Progea’s Movicon 11 provides an all-in-one platform with the reliability and simplicity users need for any mission-critical applications, from small HMI to large SCADA servers. Designed for ease-of-use, Movicon 11 provides developers with maximum flexibility and openness, utilizing an XML-based architecture for an open format. Additionally, the software may be designed and deployed on anything from Windows CE to Windows 10.

“The Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet is a top-of-the-line, ultra-rugged device, designed from the ground up to improve worker productivity and streamline the data collection process,” said Tom Francom, Market Manager for Industrial Solutions at Juniper Systems. “When you combine that level of hardware with Movicon 11—a software that’s powerful, versatile, and easy to use—you get an outstanding SCADA/HMI solution that performs reliably in any environment.”
