IoT and location automation deliver new services for telecoms

Redlands, California—May 9, 2016—Today, Esri, the world leader in geographic information system (GIS) solutions, will be participating at the TM Forum Live! conference in Nice, France. The four-day conference is focused on thriving as a business in the digital world by addressing the key challenges being faced in today’s connected world.

Esri will be demonstrating how telecoms can improve collaboration and empower decision makers with a location strategy. Esri will take part in catalyst demonstrations with partners such as Orange, one of the largest operators of mobile and Internet services in Europe and Africa. The Smart Life catalyst supports a recently announced new strategic ambition for Orange called Essentials 2020.

“Part of this ambition is to build new territories of revenues with the Internet of Things and to foster the company sustainability. It is then obvious that Smart Life (formerly Smart Energy) can be a piece of our strategy, optimizing our digital life; diminishing our energy usages andour CO2 footprint with the help and reuse of our robust assets of a telco IT; and developing a better way of life useful for ‘my home, my city, my planet.’ Thanks to our partners Esri, BaseN, Infonova, we are able to build a new digital service provider and enabler to support our customers’ smart life.”—Christian Maitre, Director, Country Support and Shared Services, Orange
