Coordinating the county’s emergency and first-responder efforts is part of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency’s (PEMA) goal to develop multi-jurisdictional systems that can also serve independent municipalities. The county conducted a competitive review and chose Tyler’s New World public safety suite of solutions.

The New World system will help the county create operational efficiencies while enhancing command staff’s decision-making process by providing easy and intuitive access to meaningful information.

Tyler’s New World suite enables emergency services staff to quickly share critical information, helping to reduce latency issues that can slow response times. New World uses advanced technology, including an embedded Esri® mapping system integrated with geographic information systems (GIS) that helps dispatchers match incidents to available law enforcement and first responders.

Clarion County has approximately 39,000 residents, 35 municipalities, 22 townships and 13 boroughs. The New World public safety solution became part of Tyler’s public safety product suite via Tyler’s acquisition of New World Systems Corporation in November 2015.
