Logan, UT – Juniper Systems, provider of ultra-rugged field data collection solutions, will be exhibiting its new Windows 10 Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet at the DistribuTECH Conference in Orlando, FL from Feb. 9–11. The conference attracts thousands of professionals in the utilities industry from around the world each year. Juniper Systems asserts that its new Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet is an ideal data collection tool for utilities applications, among many others.

Designed and manufactured at Juniper Systems’ Logan, Utah headquarters, the Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet is built to perform reliably in any type of environment, and is the only Windows tablet on the market with complete IP68-rated protection against dust and water. Because it runs on Microsoft®’s new Windows 10, the Mesa 2 can be used with a wide variety of software and apps, and allows for an easy transition from field data collection to office work.

The Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet also features a 7-inch IllumiView™ display, which utilizes specialized technology to provide extraordinary brightness and clarity outdoors. While the display is larger than any previous Juniper Systems’ device, the Mesa 2 is actually thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Mesa® Rugged Notepad. Juniper Systems reports that the Mesa 2 was designed with excellent ergonomics, and is effective at minimizing fatigue over long work days.

“The Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet is the perfect solution for utilities applications, effectively improving productivity and efficiency in any work environment,” said Jim Benson, Utilities & Public Services Market Manager at Juniper Systems. “Its new Windows 10 operating system provides users with a huge range of software possibilities, and its rugged design provides the reliable performance that utilities professionals need. Its ability to meet customers’ needs is evident in the huge surge of interest we’ve seen since the Mesa 2 was announced.”

The Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet was publicly announced in January and is expected to begin shipping this quarter. To learn more about the rugged tablet, visit Juniper Systems’ website here:www.junipersys.com/mesa2.
