Cityworks Users Collaborate to Manage Water Infrastructure

Utah User Community Using Cityworks to Manage Water Assets

Sandy, UT. —— Cityworks hosted more than 15 users from around the state of Utah at the company’s main office in Sandy, Utah, Wednesday, October 22. The group gathered to compare ideas and experiences associated with how they use Cityworks to manage water-related infrastructure. Taking advantage of the opportunity to validate ideas and methodologies with their peers and Cityworks staff, the group discussed a variety of topics including monitoring and sampling workflows.

Together with Cityworks staff, municipal and utility water users brainstormed best management practices for configuring Cityworks to manage water sampling data processes. The forum began with a discussion on what the special needs for water monitoring and sampling are. Once identified, Cityworks employees Matt Harman and Skyler Ryser led the group through an interactive modeling session, creating work orders and inspections to determine the best way to manage their water sampling data.

“The meeting was designed to be a forum for clients to explore how to configure Cityworks to meet their water sampling needs,” said Skyler Ryser, Cityworks account manager. “It was an open discussion that touched on everyone’s ideas and experiences, producing some very worthwhile results. Feedback was great, listening to people express the benefits and interest in more meetings like this in the future.”

“Going above and beyond traditional customer service and support is a fundamental part of our company culture,” said Brian Haslam, president and CEO of Cityworks. “Providing a place for our user community to connect and network is an invaluable opportunity for everyone involved. Leveraging the inherent power of an ecosystem fosters the kind of energy necessary to ensure livable, sustainable communities.”
