Teledyne Optech delivering workshops and product hints at Capturing Reality Forum 2015

November 16, 2015 By GISuser

November 16, 2015 — Teledyne Optech is pleased to announce that it will have a major presence at the Capturing Reality Forum hosted by SPAR Europe and ELMF on November 23-25 in Salzburg, Austria. This will include two workshops on how Teledyne Optech technologies improve surveying productivity, as well as a booth display that will showcase innovative future products.
Dr. Peter Friess will be presenting the latest in Teledyne Optech’s lidar processing suite, Optech LMS 3.0, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 24. This first workshop will highlight the unique capability of LMS to automatically boresight and calibrate both lidar and camera data in a single workflow. Dr. Friess will present accuracy and image results from this new camera boresight module.

Mr. Michael Sitar, Teledyne Optech’s Airborne Business Unit Manager, will present field results of the powerful SwathTRAK™ technology available in the new ground-breaking Optech Galaxy airborne lidar sensor. By dynamically adjusting the scan field of view in response to terrain elevation, SwathTRAK keeps the Galaxy’s swath width and point density on the ground constant, even in variable terrain. The advantages of this technology will be presented in the context of a mountainous case study at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 25.

On the exhibition floor, Teledyne Optech staff will be at Stand 38 to show our latest tools for geospatial surveying. With airborne lidar bathymetry a major focus of the forum, visitors can learn how the Optech Titan, the world’s first multispectral lidar sensor, can be used for the simultaneous collection of high-density bathymetry and high-precision topo data, with the added value of unique spectral responses from three independent wavelengths for improved classification accuracy.

For visitors interested in corridor or transportation surveying, Teledyne Optech staff will be on hand to advise which model of the Optech Lynx mobile survey system would best fit their needs: the MG, SG, or new SG-S. They will also have information about the many integration options for the Optech ILRIS terrestrial laser scanner, including multibeam echosounders or the camera-equipped Optech XR6 UAV. Finally, the booth will have some exciting news about the Teledyne Optech product roadmap, and the truly ground-breaking technologies slated for release soon.
