Syrian Crisis: Visualize Migration of Refugees with Interactive Maps

September 23, 2015 By Editor

Political unrest in Syria has forced the displacement of more than 7 million people within Syria’s borders. Of these 7 million, 200,000 are estimated to have died and more than 4 million Syrians have fled the country and are currently refugees or asylum seekers. Hundreds of thousands have also moved to camps within Syria’s borders.

To help the public better understand the scale and impact of this humanitarian crisis, Esri has created an interactive story map, Syria: Epicenter of a Deepening Refugee Crisis. Click through the tabs to see how and where Syrians have fled their home country, and learn more about the global refugee crisis.
