September 10, 2015 By GISuser

The Living Atlas of the World is a large and growing collection of geographic content including ready-to-use maps, layers, apps, and scenes provided by Esri and its partners and product users.

To familiarize yourself with this resource, tune in to the live training seminar Maps and More: Discover the Living Atlas of the World on September 17, 2015.

The Living Atlas of the World is available through ArcGIS Online and includes thousands of beautiful and authoritative maps on topics as diverse as transportation networks, traffic flow, open space, housing density, natural disasters, live weather, 3D cityscapes, average household income, culture, travel, and history.

You can access the online maps and layers, along with capabilities such as geocoding and routing, for use in your desktop, server, mobile, and web mapping applications.

After viewing the seminar, you will understand how to

  • Access content from the Living Atlas of the World.
  • Use the content in your own maps and apps for display and analysis.
  • Contribute your organization’s authoritative content to the Living Atlas of the World.

This seminar is open to everyone interested in using the Living Atlas of the World. GIS managers and analysts who use ArcGIS for Desktop, the ArcGIS Pro application, and ArcGIS Online will find the session especially useful.

You will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Account to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login at the top right, and register your name and email address.
