The University of Southern California’s GIS Program and Pearson Education have put together an infographic titled “Common Career Paths for the Student of Geographic Information Science & Technology”.

Career Paths in GIS

Common Career paths explores the options that graduates of GIS programs will typically find as they start their career. Data shared in the graphic include some details of Federal spending and investment in Geo technology, common career paths, and a look at the specific industries where GIS career options are relatively strong. Interesting to see that a figure is shared that reveals the market for GIS professionals is growing at a rate of about 35% annually!
