Blue Marble Exhibits at FutureView 2015 Conference and Technology Summit

August 19, 2015 By GISuser

Hallowell, Maine – August 18, 2015 – Blue Marble Geographics will be exhibiting at the FutureView 2015 Conference and Technology Summit hosted by Pictometry International Corp. in Nashville, TN from August 19-21.  The latest advancements in Pictometry® Imagery, 3D technology and analytical and solution-based tools will be highlighted in addition to a strong focus on industry topics related to assessment, infrastructure, disaster response and GIS solutions. Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

FutureView® is the premier user conference for imagery and analytical solutions presented by EagleView and Pictometry.  Scheduled the day before FutureView begins, the invitation-only Technology Summit is hosted by Frank Giuffrida, Pictometry Executive Vice President of Engineering, and sponsored by Blue Marble Geographics. Participants have the opportunity to interact directly with Pictometry engineers in an intimate workshop setting.

During the conference, Blue Marble President Patrick Cunningham will present a paper on how Pictometry has been leveraging Blue Marble’s renowned coordinate transformation software for years. This presentation will provide an overview of how and why the company relies on Blue Marble’s GeoCalc coordinate object library for use in their Electronic Field Study software along with the Geographic Calculator for quality assurance and testing. The talk will discuss how and why GeoCalc libraries are also used by Pictometry. Pictometry also uses Global Mapper software in their imagery production workflows and the company recently entered into an enterprise license agreement that provides all employees with unlimited access to the software as well as all software updates upon release. This talk will explore how Blue Marble software has helped Pictometry continue to produce top quality data products, and to introduce powerful and more efficient processes moving forward.

“We are truly excited to be exhibiting and participating at this event” stated Cunningham. “The FutureView 2015 Conference and Technology Summit offers attendees the chance to see Blue Marble products in action and provide insights into the wide array of functionality that is available in our suite of geospatial tools.”
