IRVINE, Calif.—Smart Utility Systems (SUS), the leading provider of cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for the Utilities sector, announced today that it has received the 2015 Smart Grid Product of the Year Award from Cable.TMCnet.com, a TMC sponsored cable technology website.

Smart Utility Systems Receives 2015 Smart Grid Product of the Year Award

“I look forward to seeing more innovation from Smart Utility Systems in the coming year.”

The company has received the award for its Smart Customer Mobile (SCM®) solution, a revolutionary customer engagement mobile platform, available to all utilities. The multilingual mobile solution includes twelve configurable modules which allow utility customers to access notifications, track usage, and most notably, provide instant two-way communication from the consumer to the utility.

Utility customers can use GIS coordinates to report downed power lines or water waste in one simple click. The sleek and easy-to-use design is device agnostic, making it both appealing and widely accessible to all utility customers.

Since releasing SCM® in 2013, SUS has seen tremendous growth.

“It was important that we developed a consumer-based app that was as intuitive as possible and spoke to the real needs of utilities agencies,” says Deepak Garg, CEO of SUS. “SCM® is the first solution in its class to offer inimitable quality, at affordable rates for utilities. It is these tenets that led SUS to engineer SCM®, and in doing so we have alleviated tremendous problems for utilities agencies. It is these smarter applications that lead the technology space and provide real and effective solutions. We are very pleased to be recognized for our innovation.”

“It is my pleasure to recognize Smart Utility Systems with the 2015 Smart Grid Product of the Year Award for its contribution to the advancement of technology solutions for utilities agencies,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “I look forward to seeing more innovation from Smart Utility Systems in the coming year.”
