PESGB Goes Into Africa

May 21, 2015 By GISuser

Like all exploration and production (E&P) companies around the world, those based and working within Africa are adapting to lower oil prices and in doing so, will look to change their focus and operations.

PESGB Goes Into Africa

The annual Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) and Houston Geological Society (HGS) Conference on African E&P, to be held in London’s Business Design Centre between 3rd and 4th September of this year, will provide the perfect opportunity for those with interests in this continent to come together and discuss how these changes will be planned and implemented.

The conference, which alternates host cities between London and Houston, attracts operators, consultants, government officials and academics and this year, will cover a wide range of themes including; New Exploration Hotspots and New Kitchens, Improving Trap Prediction & Imaging and New Reservoirs.

Running alongside the two days of presentations, Petroleum Geo-Services will be hosting an interactive Seismic Workshop during which seismic a number of service companies will present on a wide range of geology topics and provide an in-depth investigation into their accompanying datasets.

Furthermore, running alongside the main conference will be a large technical poster exhibition which will undoubtedly promote conversation and debates amongst the predicted 600 attendees.

If you would like to present, attend or exhibit at the conference simply send an email to Bethany Parkinson (events@pesgb.org.uk) or visit the Conference website
