Blue Marble Presents Global Mapper’s UAV Tools at the 2015 Unmanned Systems Conference

April 28, 2015 By GISuser

Hallowell, Maine – April 28, 2015 – Blue Marble Geographics is pleased to be exhibiting at the 2015 Unmanned Systems conference at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta during the week of May 4, 2015. At the conference, Blue Marble representatives will demonstrate Global Mapper’s robust data processing functionality and its application for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operations. Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems conference in Atlanta, GA is the largest global community of commercial and defense leaders in intelligent robotics, drones and unmanned systems. Blue Marble Geographics will be showcasing Global Mapper’s UAV capabilities at booth 836 in the exhibit hall. As an affordable and easy-to-use GIS application, Global Mapper is capable of displaying, converting, and analyzing virtually any type of geospatial data.  It is a great tool for flight planning and post processing of collected data. UAV professionals benefit from support of over 250 file formats including GPX, KML and shape files. The 3D display tools in Global Mapper enable users to create HD fly-through videos derived from UAV flight path data, and include tools for tracking GPS data as well as a new UAV Video Playback tool. Other important features include Global Mapper’s Terrain Modeling, Contour Generation, and Line of Site tools.

During the conference, Blue Marble’s President Patrick Cunningham will present a paper on 3D Data Processing and Visualization in Global Mapper at the Beyond the Booth showcase.

“We are truly excited to be exhibiting and participating at this event” stated Cunningham. “The Unmanned Systems Conference offers attendees the chance to see Global Mapper in action and provide insights into how much functionality is available in this low cost GIS solution.”
