Mapping Errors Cost Chicago Team the US Little League World Series Title

Sad to see that even 12 year olds are getting caught cheating when it comes to sports – although keep in mind, the actual cheating here has been done by the parents and the league organizers!

Interesting to see that maps and errors in mapping are being cited as the reason for the “mix up” as the team apparently drew players from outside the region and allowed geographic areas.

From the article… “The results of the investigation concluded the team had used an inaccurate map and also drawn players from other districts in order to build as strong a team as possible”

So sure, mapping or geography “errors” may have seemingly cost this team their title, however, what this really is about is a group of adults and parents who tried to cheat and have been caught! Total bummer…
