Learn to Build Great Mapping Apps Using ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET from Esri

February 10, 2015 By GISuser

Esri’s ArcGIS Runtime SDK for the Microsoft .NET Framework gives developers the tools they need to create powerful geospatial apps for Microsoft Windows Desktop, Windows Store, and Windows Phone.

These apps include capabilities for interactive mapping, querying, geocoding, routing, data editing, and geographic analysis.

To learn the basic workflow to build an app for the Windows platform, tune in to the Esri live training seminar Build Great Mapping Apps with ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET on February 12, 2015. You also will learn how to provide interactive maps that include data from a variety of sources, along with offline mapping and other capabilities that support users with or without a network connection.

After viewing the seminar, you will understand how to

  • Create a mapping app for the Microsoft Windows platform.
  • Display map layers that reference data from a variety of sources such as map services hosted by ArcGIS for Server, open data formats, or local feature tables.
  • Implement offline workflows that give users access to maps and capabilities such as geocoding in connected and disconnected environments.
  • Use web maps in your apps that come from ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS.

Microsoft .NET developers who want to develop mapping apps or add location-based functionality to existing apps are encouraged to attend. GIS professionals and managers interested in learning about the process of using ArcGIS technology to develop apps for the Windows platform are also welcome.

You will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Account to watch the live training seminar.  Creating an Esri Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login at the top right, and register your name and e-mail address.
