GPS Industries Unveils ‘Visage Resort Edition’ at Dominican Republic’s Casa de Campo

Famed 7,000-acre Luxury Resort Showcases Preeminent GPS-based Fleet Management System for Low Speed Vehicles

GPS Industries (GPSI) – the world’s leading provider of GPS tracking technology for low speed vehicles – has unveiled its “Visage Resort Edition” fleet management system at the Dominican Republic’s Casa de Campo.

The Visage Resort Edition will help Casa de Campo monitor the whereabouts of golf cars across its vast property, ensuring the safety and security of residents, guests and employees. Navigation tools, maps and two-way communication capabilities are system features designed to make traversing the 7,000-acre site stress-free.

Another prominent platform component is the recently-launched Visage Media Network. Via 10-inch color touchscreens affixed to guest-assigned cars, it delivers news about “The Sporting Life” at Casa de Campo. These offerings include 90 holes of golf, a 245-acre Shooting Center, Polo & Equestrian Club, La Terrazza Tennis Center and a Marina & Yacht Club.

Internal promotions for resort restaurants, special events like concerts and polo matches, and off-site excursions are also shared. Real estate for sale is another key element, with content triggered by location. For example, an on-screen overview of a property will be displayed when passed in a golf car.

“The Visage Resort Edition will make it even easier for guests and residents alike to enjoy the unsurpassed amenities offered at our tropical playground,” says Peter Bonell, Chief Marketing Officer at Casa de Campo. “The Visage Media Network’s capacity for revenue generation is also particularly enticing, as we will extend sponsorship opportunities to select, high-end local businesses wishing to reach our ultra-affluent guests and residents.”

Eighty four-passenger EFI Gas Cars – a brand-new make and model from Club Car – are equipped with the Visage Resort Edition. More will be added as Casa de Campo updates its 300-car fleet dedicated to guests’ personal transport.

“We’re excited to launch the Visage Resort Edition and help raise employee productivity, protect resort assets and increase guest touch points at Casa de Campo,” says Ben Porter, CEO of GPSI.  “Benefitting more than 10 million rounds of golf last year, Visage’s user-friendly interface and leading-edge GPS technology make bringing it to the broader resort landscape a logical next step in its evolution.”

GPSI’s Visage Media Network represents the largest connected audience of golfers at courses worldwide. Sponsored content is featured on more than 25,000 screens with nearly 40 million-plus page views monthly. New applications are being developed to enable users to stay connected with their social media and professional networks while creating, managing and sharing user-generated content, including personal golf statistics, photos and video.

Popular at public, private and resort golf courses, marquee properties with Visage include Congressional Country Club, Trump National Doral Miami and several TPC clubs such as San Antonio, Las Vegas and River Highlands. Installed in 900-plus golf-car fleets, primarily in North America, Europe and the Middle East for 80% global market share, GPSI predicts 35% annual growth over 2014.
