POWER Engineers and Dakota Electric Association Release Video

November 3, 2014 By GISuser

HAILEY, Idaho (November 3, 2014) — POWER Engineers, Inc. (POWER) and Dakota Electric Association (DEA) announced the release of a video (click here) that summarizes POWER’s Strategic Consulting support for a wide variety of GIS, Outage Management, Asset Management, and related IT projects at DEA.

DEA wanted a partner that would share their long-term vision and have the ability to make a difference. “They (POWER) brought us their experience, the ability to identify needs we didn’t know about, and identified systems that worked well at other utilities,” says Craig Turner, Chief Engineer. “What we didn’t want was a consultant to come in and give us advice and then leave. Instead our vision was to bring in a trusted advisor who would become an integral part of our project team,” stated Randy Poulson, Engineering VP.

Working as a trusted advisor for DEA, POWER is contributing to the highly successful strategic planning efforts that leverage the benefits of enterprise integration and emerging technology. These collaborative projects have led to a well integrated system that has increased workforce efficiency and improved member satisfaction. “POWER prides themselves on the relationships that we build with our customers. Collaborating on this video is a true testament to the depth of the DEA/POWER partnership. We will continue to listen to DEA’s needs and work hard to maintain a high level of customer service to ensure DEA is successful in reaching their long-term vision,” said Jana Constant, Strategic Consultant at POWER.
