The GIS Day events are taking place on Wednesday, November 19 and feature technical presentations, map competitions, and an exhibition of local businesses working in GIS fields.
GIS Day was started as a way to provide an international forum for users of GIS technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a positive difference in our society. GIS Day is a grassroots effort to encourage people from all fields and levels of expertise to learn about geography and the uses of GIS in their everyday lives.

As part of the event at the University of Ottawa, PCI will be delivering a presentation focusing on the business of remote sensing and GIS including real-world success stories in the industry.
