Thermopylae Sciences & Technology Awarded Multimillion-Dollar DoD Contract

TST to Provide IT Support for Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)

Rosslyn, VA October 30, 2014. Thermopylae Sciences & Technology (TST), a leading information technology services provider and Google Enterprise Partner, announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to set up and integrate Google Search Appliance on DTRA’s multiple networks. This will enable DTRA’s data to be searchable and discoverable. In addition to a setup and integration period, Thermopylae will offer ongoing support for the effort for up to two years. The overall contract is $3.5 million.

Thermopylae will also support DTRA’s work to prepare for the use of weapons of mass destruction and to prevent their spread by installing software to make searches more powerful. Additional software tools will perform semantic analysis on searches in progress and make additional “smart” recommendations. A search for intelligence about a particular individual could, for example, yield additional information about cities where that person has lived, or recent places of employment.

“Thermopylae’s core expertise in innovative IT consulting is an ideal match for DTRA’s ongoing needs,” said Thermopylae Sciences & Technology President, AJ Clark. “Our ability to provide both traditional and emerging information technology support and development will help to continue DTRA’s growth and success with expanded IT capabilities.”
