October 15, 2014 By GISuser

October 15th, 2014  Lakewood, CO-  Digital Data Services, Inc. (DDS) announced that it was awarded a contract with the Bureau of Land Management’s National Operations Center for Geospatial IT Support Services. The Division of Resource Services, located at the National Operations Center in Denver, Colorado, conducts a variety of projects and support natural and cultural resource programs throughout the Bureau. Specific projects that need immediate services under this contract include the Abandoned Mine and Site Cleanup Module (AMSCM), Visual Resource Management (VRM), and the Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) program. Additional support in forestry, riparian, and land health reporting may also be required.

DDS will design Geocortex® web-based GIS and mapping sites for each program, while adhering to the BLM’s required processes for security and data standards. DDS will also be working closely with the BLM staff to determine any needed geodatabase schema and/or web services changes, provide documentation and training, and ensure that the final web-based mapping sites contain the proper metadata requirements, security, and naming convention.

“As an Implementation Partner for Latitude Geographics, DDS provides Geocortex® development and support services to numerous state and local government agencies, so naturally we are excited to offer our web-based GIS solutions to the federal sector.” – says Scott C. Carter, President of DDS.
