PCI Geomatics to Host International Reseller and Business Partner Meeting, October 20-23, 2014

August 19, 2014 By Editor

PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, will be hosting its annual International Reseller and Business Partner Meeting in the Toronto region from October 20-23, 2014 – preparation for the meeting has been underway since early in 2014.

The focus of the this year’s event will be Get More from Imagery, a theme which explores the benefits of working with and developing solutions using PCI’s innovative, high speed, and accurate image processing software suite that includes Geomatica and the GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL). International resellers, business partners, and PCI staff will be in attendance to discuss how to best position their respective businesses for success in this exciting time in the geospatial industry which has seen a
steady increase in the collection of geospatial imagery. The increase has been driven by business requirements around the world for timely, high-resolution information derived from geospatial imagery.

Discussions and case studies on leveraging Geomatica as a platform will also be included in the main program. PCI recently introduced a Python API capability within Geomatica 2014, which has already been leveraged by business partners and customers to automate processes, integrate with other tools, and customize workflows.

Jennifer Nix, Senior Manager, Advanced Products Generation at Digital Globe presented at the 2013 Reseller Meeting how Geomatica is used within Digital Globe’s image processing chain to deliver accurate, high quality products to end customers. “Attending PCI’s 2013 Reseller meeting was very beneficial for me and Digital Globe,” explained Nix. “I was able to learn about exciting new capability being developed for ortho-mosaicking that have greatly enhanced our processing approach.”

The International Reseller and Business Partner Meeting will be held near Toronto, at the Kingsbridge Conference Centre. It will feature guest presentations, product demonstrations, networking events, and training opportunities to learn about PCI’s technology. In addition, PCI Geomatics will be putting additional emphasis on offering some sessions in Spanish, given the large contingent of business partners and resellers who will be in attendance from the Latin American region.
