OSIsoft & Esri Partner to Deliver Unified Solution for U.S. Federal Government Organizations

July 30, 2014 By Editor

Federal Customers Can Now Purchase Single Solution for Time Series and Geospatial Operational Insights

SAN LEANDRO, Calif.–OSIsoft and Esri today announced an agreement that will allow U.S. federal government customers to purchase the PI System and ArcGIS products via a single GSA IT 70 Schedule contract transaction. Orders should be placed through immixGroup.

The combination of Esri and OSIsoft technologies will enable federal organizations to utilize the industry standards for real-time sensor-based data and geospatial data. Licenses for both OSIsoft and Esri products are now available at a pre-approved price and without the need for additional RFPs and sole source justifications.

The OSIsoft PI System collects, manages, analyzes and shares sensor-based data from a large array of over 450 sources using industry standard protocols. Integrating the PI System from OSIsoft with ArcGIS from Esri allows real-time operational data to be combined with geographic data seamlessly providing real-time operational intelligence with geospatial context.

“Framing real-time data in a geospatial context enables better insights and faster decisions to deliver operational excellence,” said Martin Otterson, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Industry, at OSIsoft. “This agreement will allow government customers to more easily purchase and integrate the two products. It will help them procure and deploy their software more quickly enabling faster identification and reduction of operating costs just like our private sector customers.”

“Esri and OSIsoft have been working very closely to integrate real-time operational data with Esri’s ArcGIS mapping platform,” said Jeff Peters, Director – Global National Government Sales at Esri. “Bringing the power of space and time into one system is fundamental. We are excited by the additional opportunities this agreement brings to our government customers.”

“We have maintained the OSIsoft PI System on the GSA IT 70 Schedule contract for years,” said Steve Charles, Co-founder and Executive Vice President at immixGroup. “This new agreement makes it very easy for government customers to explore the value of combining real-time operational data with the most widely used mapping tool in the US Government.”
