How Ready Are You For a Data Disaster?

July 3, 2014 By Editor

Stage2Data, Canada’s Premier Cloud Solution Provider Asks Ontario Audience "How Ready Are You For a Data Disaster?" – Stage2 Data hosts discussion about Cloud Backup, Cloud Disaster Recovery and Cloud Hosting and engages corporate leaders in discussion about the importance of protecting data from disaster and options for moving into the Cloud.

July 03, 2014 – Stage2Data CEO Jeff Collier addressed an audience in Oakville, Ontario outlining the importance of business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) while highlighting his company’s highly competitive Disaster Recovery offerings.

Together with Jacques Swanepoel Stage2Data CTO, Collier urged the audience to carefully consider how prepared their company is for a data disaster and subsequent data recovery. Collier detailed recent disasters and gave an overview of worldwide trends in malware, viruses, theft, hackers as well as natural disasters that pose a direct and real threat to data security.

Stage2Data delivers enterprise-class business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) solutions for virtualized infrastructure and cloud. As Canada’s Premier Cloud Solution Provider, the team works with clients to replace traditional array-based BCDR solutions that are inadequate to deal with today’s highly dynamic virtual environments.

Swanepoel announced the launch of the latest version of Application Aware DR Solutions for VMWare environments during the discussion. In his speech, Swanepoel highlighted that this offering provides RPO’s of seconds and RTO’s of minutes for individual VMs and VMWare environments. Swanepoel stated "You can now restore individual VMs in seconds compared to having to restore an entire LUN. With us, you can recover just one VM, application aware group of VMs or all your VMs. This Application Aware capability automates the recovery process due to its heartbeat and journaling capabilities. The end benefit being that this is true automated Disaster Recovery for VMWare environments."

The launch of the Application Aware offering solidifies Stage2Data’s dominance as Canada’s Premier Cloud Solution Provider.
