Esri Supports White House Climate Data Initiative Food Resilience Efforts

July 29, 2014 By Editor

In response to President Obama’s call to action via the Climate Data Initiative Food Resilience effort, Esri is launching a new campaign that will use geography to better visualize, understand, and improve our global food systems.

This effort is organized into three complimentary pieces: unlocking authoritative data from public and private partners as live data feeds, establishing a collaborative virtual laboratory that enables scientists and policy makers to explore and create spatial data, and hosting an Executive White Boarding session in fall 2014 centered around food resilience. Together, we hope these initiatives will catalyze understanding of our global food system and drive innovative solutions that will build a more sustainable future.

For more information, view our Climate Data Initiative—Food Resilience Theme Fast Sheet.
