Metalcraft announces Near Field Communication Tags

June 6, 2014 By Editor

MASON CITY, IOWA (June 6, 2014) – Metalcraft today announced availability of their Near Field Communication Tags designed to deliver an attractive, durable label for two-way communication between tag and device at close distances.

The Near Field Communication Tag uses an NFC-enabled inlay design to allow secure data exchange at distances less than 20 centimeters. When used with an NFC-enabled cell phone, no additional reader is required. The inlay adheres to a durable, flexible polyester label with subsurface printing that protects barcode, logo and other printed information. Metalcraft’s digital printing process provides for precise, durable reproduction of detailed designs.

“As NFC-enabled phones become more popular, the applications for this technology will also become more and more popular,” said Metalcraft’s President and CEO Steve Doerfler. “Using Metalcraft’s NFC-enabled tags for data exchange opens virtually endless possibilities for secure data exchange.”
