Optech to Showcase Airborne Terrain and Bathymetry Sensors at GEOINT 2013* Symposium

April 9, 2014 By Editor

April 9, 2014 — Optech, the world leader in the development, manufacture and support of high-accuracy lidar 3D survey systems and productivity-enhancing workflow software, is pleased to announce that it will exhibit and present at the nation’s largest intelligence event, the GEOINT 2013* Symposium, from April 14th to 17th, 2014.

Anyone interested in the latest in airborne seamless topography and bathymetry technology to address ISR needs should drop by Optech booth 7051 to see the compact and UAV-compatible Orion airborne lidar system, which enables high-altitude, wide-area GEOINT base mapping with excellent accuracy characteristics, maximizing coverage efficiency without sacrificing detail and data accuracy. Also on display will be the Optech line of aerial camera systems, including the multispectral CS-MS1920, medium-format CS-10000, and versatile and lightweight CS-6500, all of which are compatible with the Orion through their common control software and numerous co-mounting options.

For missions requiring seamless topo/bathy with airborne efficiency even in turbid water conditions, enabling submerged object detection, water column analysis, and bottom characterization, get a glimpse of what is possible by also attending the lightning talk that Defense & Security US Sales Manager Barry Cross will give on April 14 between 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Tampa Marriot Waterside Hotel, Ballroom E/F. In his presentation, he will demonstrate how the Optech CZMIL HydroFusion workflow software uses full-waveform data analysis and voxelization to give CZMIL its industry-leading depth penetration and underwater object detection capabilities. Optech CZMIL is the only system of its kind validated and in regular use by multiple government agencies, with exceptional performance in turbid waters and capable of mapping up to 80 m in clear waters.
