GEO Business 2014 Announce Opening Keynote Speaker

The organisers of GEO Business 2014, Diversified Communications, are delighted to announce the opening keynote address for the innovative conference will be made byPeter Hansford, the Chief Construction Advisor to HM Government, UK. 

 

With a career that has taken in positions at Amey, Maunsell, the Strategic Rail Authority and Gardiner and Theobald, Peter has spent the majority of his career on highways and railways with project management largely being his focus. Peter is also an ardent advocate and supporter of the BIM initiative.

Peter Hansford will be accompanied by fellow keynote speakers; Neil Ackroyd, Acting Director General and Chief Executive, Ordnance Survey, David Philp, Head of BIM Implementation, Cabinet Office / Mace Group, Anne Kemp, Director BIM Strategy and Development, Atkins Limited and Dr Catherine Souch, Head of Research and Higher Education, Royal Geographical Society.

The conference incorporates 49 sessions running in two tracks, providing presentations on the following topics: Making Data Deliverable, BIM meets Geospatial, Exploiting the Power of Big Data, Smart GIS, Surveying Operations and System Integration, Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA), Coastal and Hydrographic, Global Trends, Specifications and Standards, Geospatial Education and Recent Project Examples.
