Idaho Commerce to Participate in SHOT Show Along with 28 Idaho Rec Tech Companies

January 9, 2014 By Editor

Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show will take place in Las Vegas, NV January 14-17, 2014.

BOISE, Idaho-Thursday, January 9, 2013- The Idaho Department of Commerce will be sending a team to Las Vegas for the annual Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show and Conference on January 14-17, 2014.  The Commerce team will participate in the trade show along with 28 Idaho companies that specialize in manufacturing, producing and/or distributing outdoor recreational technologies (rec tech).

The SHOT Show and Conference is the largest annual trade show for professionals involved in the rec tech industry, and is the world’s premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics and related products and services.  The SHOT Show attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.  The Idaho Commerce booth is a partnership with four Idaho companies that are attending the show to establish new relationships and create new opportunities and markets for their products.

Integrity Ballistics, based in Boise and sharing the Idaho Commerce booth, is one of the Idaho companies attending the SHOT Show.  Integrity will showcase the Burns 1401 round, also known as the "Pancake" round.  This highly engineered 12-gauge Less-Lethal round, with a proprietary polymer compound provides precision in flight with greater target accuracy, reduces the potential for injury, improves tactical safety, and assures compliance when less-lethal tactics and force are required.

Also joining the Idaho Commerce booth are Riverman Gunworks, AceCo Defense and Unique ARS.  Riverman Gun Works, located in Coeur d’Alene, is a full retail firearms store, specializing in police buy-backs and used guns, and is also a top-quality firearms manufacturer.  AceCo Defense, a global supplier of precision machined components, provides a variety of personal protection devices that are proudly manufactured in Boise.  Unique ARS, located in McCall, is a family-owned company that produces custom AR-15 firearms, as well as accompanying hand guards and additional products.

Additionally, Inteliscope, a new company to the SHOT Show, will be announcing the launch of new products that extend the reach of its product line of weapon-mounted digital multi-tool adapters and smartphone apps.  The announcement will be held during a press conference on January 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the Venetian Room Murano 3201.  Inteliscope President Jason Giddings also will demonstrate the new products: InteliscopePRO – PRO Version Weapon-Mounted Digital Multi-Tool, Android Inteliscope App, New Video Record Function, and new Reticle Packs.

Highlights of additional companies participating in the SHOT Show include a wide array of rec tech businesses that distribute their products worldwide:

  •  Eberlestock – Eberlestock specializes in backpacks designed for hunting and tactical use that are innovative and unique in their ability to carry a combination of gear and firearms or bows.  In addition to its packs, the company is developing a full line of market-leading products, including precision rifle stocks, advanced shooting rests, and sleep systems.
  • Kinetic Research Group – KRG was established conceptually in 2005 by a group of the active duty Army Special Forces soldiers. Being both professional and sport shooters, their passion led them to a deep understanding of the strong and weak points in the fielded equipment. Today, company members have been responsible for three small arms designs, parts of a fourth, and a few accessory items unrelated to KRG.
  • Seekins – Seekins Precision is a start-up company located in Lewiston, Idaho. The company manufactures precision firearms parts including AR Uppers/Lowers, Scope Rings and Mounts, and Detachable Bottom Metal. They will be manufacturing their own firearm in the near future.
