Trimble Extends Land Administration Portfolio with New Hardware and Software Solutions

October 9, 2013 By Editor

ESSEN, Germany, Oct. 8, 2013—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced today new hardware and software solutions for its Land Administration portfolio—a new configuration of the Trimble® ProXRT GNSS receiver featuring Trimble CenterPoint™ RTX™ correction service support, Penmap field software version 10, HHK GEOgraf office software version 8, and a new Trimble Access Cadastral module. These solutions address the specialized workflows of projects to enable more productive land administration and cadastral workflows.

The announcement was made today at INTERGEO 2013, the world’s largest conference on geodesy, geoinformatics and land management.

"With the introduction of the Trimble ProXRT featuring Trimble CenterPoint RTX, land administration professionals globally, regardless of geodetic infrastructure limitations, now have access to repeatable, high accuracy corrections and positions," said Matt Delano, business area director of Trimble’s Land Administration Solutions. "In addition, the new and updated software reflect our goal to develop complete solutions customized to the unique needs of cadastral and land administration professionals across the globe."

Trimble CenterPoint RTX Correction Service Support

The Land Administration configuration of the Trimble ProXRT receiver supports Trimble CenterPoint RTX. Powered by Trimble RTX technology and available worldwide, CenterPoint RTX is a subscription service that delivers real-time 4 centimeter (1.5 inch) or better corrections via satellite directly to the receiver without requiring the use of a base station, VRS network, or investment in additional hardware. CenterPoint RTX is beneficial for users in regions where there is limited or no access to local geodetic infrastructure or local VRS networks. Combined with CenterPoint RTX, Penmap field software, and choice of data collector, the Trimble ProXRT receiver for land administration is a highly accurate, versatile solution that offers users greater efficiencies, repeatable performance and reduced overall hardware costs.

Penmap Field Software Version 10

A complement to the new Land Administration configuration of the Trimble ProXRT, Penmap field software version 10 introduces Trimble RTX support. As a premium data collection software, Penmap is specifically designed for cadastral surveying, mapping, and land registration tasks. Version 10 also provides Web Map Service (WMS) support, which gives users access to high-resolution satellite imagery worldwide for online and offline field use. In addition, version 10 enables real-time data sharing between the field and office via The Trimble Connected Community, a Web-based portal for sharing and managing project information, to streamline the work and dataflow for land administration and cadastral projects.

HHK GEOgraf Version 8 Office Software

GEOgraf office software version 8 features new 3D technology and Trimble VISION™ photogrammetry processing functionality. Now with two graphic windows, classical map plan view and 3D view, GEOgraf enables users to compute modern 3D geodata more efficiently. Integrated Trimble VISION photogrammetry functionality allows users to combine visual information with field measurements and design data, enabling them to make terrestrial photogrammetric observations and compute point coordinates directly in GEOgraf.

Cadastral Module for Trimble Access Field Software

Built on the Trimble Access Software Development Kit (SDK) platform, the new Cadastral module version 1.0.0 is an application customized for specialized cadastral workflows, especially in Germany. The module provides several cadastral-specific calculation and measurement functions. Compatible with GEOgraf A³, the application optimizes the data exchange between field and office.

Availability
