GeoDecisions’ Fishidy™ Featured in Top Five Best Outdoor Applications

October 11, 2013 By Editor

(Harrisburg, Pa.) Fishidy recently ranked fifth in wide open spaces (WOS) 10 best outdoor apps. A map-based social networking hub for anglers, Fishidy was developed by GeoDecisions, an information technology (IT) company specializing in award-winning geospatial solutions. Established in 2011, WOS is an online community of fishing and hunting enthusiasts.

Fishidy’s first-of-its-kind mobile app features interactive fishing, waterway maps, and a personal fishing log through mobile iOS devices (iPhone® and iPad®). Its interactive maps contain data for more than 4,000 waterways throughout the U.S. Anglers can mark, track, and view catches with a personal and secure fishing log that connects directly to their online profile.

Available for free on the iTunes® store and Google play™ for Android devices, the Fishidy.com mobile app uses Esri® ArcGIS® Server and iOS SDK technology to support its mapping and geospatial capabilities. Fishidy’s on-the-water fishing information also is available in approximately 2,600 Walmart stores. For more information, visit www.fishidy.com.
